Contesting is the lifeblood of radio, creating the fun and interactive experiences that build loyal audiences. At SoCast, we recognize its importance, and based on extensive feedback from our users, we have made significant enhancements to the SoCast Engage contesting system. These powerful new tools are designed to increase listener engagement, streamline your workflow, and unlock new creative possibilities for your promotions.
Here’s a look at the new features now available in SoCast Engage.
1. Showcase Listener Content with Public Entry Displays
You can now publicly display contest entry media, such as photos or videos, on your website and mobile app. This feature is perfect for user-generated content campaigns, like “cutest pet” or “best holiday decoration” contests, creating a gallery of submissions for all to see. This not only enhances engagement but also sets the stage for our next major update to this feature: the upcoming ability for users to vote on their favorite entries.
2. Automated Promotion with Scheduled Feature Rotators
You can now schedule a feature rotator to go live automatically when a future contest begins. This “set it and forget it” functionality means you no longer need to manually activate the rotator when a promotion starts. Schedule your contests and their corresponding promotional assets in advance, and trust that the system will handle the rest, saving you time and ensuring your contests are promoted on schedule.
3. Simplified Management for Syndicated Contests
Running national or multi-station contests is now easier than ever. For syndicated contests, we have introduced the ability to export a single CSV file containing all entrants from every participating station site. This enhancement streamlines the process of managing large-scale promotions, allowing you to easily consolidate entries and select a winner from your entire network audience.
4. Creative New Promotions with Spotify Song Entries
Unlock new types of music-focused contests by allowing listeners to submit a Spotify song as their contest entry. This feature is perfect for running promotions like a “Battle of the Bands” or “Song of the Summer” contest, engaging your audience in a fresh, interactive way that connects directly with the music they love.
5. Increased Engagement with “Once Per Hour” Entry
To drive sustained listener interaction, you can now set contest entry frequency to “once per hour.” This feature encourages listeners to return to your site or app throughout the day, boosting traffic and keeping your station top-of-mind. It’s an ideal solution for daily or week-long promotions where continuous engagement is key.
These upgrades are a direct reflection of our commitment to providing radio broadcasters with the most powerful and intuitive digital tools on the market. We are excited to see the creative contests you will build and look forward to continuing to evolve our contesting system to meet your needs.
