Hello,
We’re reaching out with an important update about your Android app on Google Play.
Google has announced a new requirement that starting approximately in Q1 2026, all new Android apps and updates to existing android apps must be built with target SDK version 35 or higher to continue running smoothly and serving ads properly.
To stay compliant, we’ll be upgrading apps currently on SDK version 34 to SDK version 35 in upcoming releases. We ask that you make sure of the following:
- That all app settings including menu, appearance and submission settings are filled in accurately, and represent your existing branding.
- That you have no outstanding agreements, verification or other issues or warnings in your Google Play account.
Otherwise no action is needed from you if you’re already on SDK 34, we’ll handle the update.
How to check your SDK version
- You can check which SDK version your app is currently using by logging into your Google Play Console.
- Going to Release > Production > App Bundle Details (for your latest release).
- Looking under Target SDK Version
If you’re using SDK 33 or lower:
If your app is built with an SDK lower than 34, (i.e 33) to avoid disruption please submit an app build request as soon as possible using the Mobile App Submission Settings, and we’ll get your app updated to SDK 35.
We’ll provide further information and will reach out directly when we’re ready to upgrade your apps.
